Destination: Barcelona

What a week it's been! It seems like just yesterday I was leaving Los Angeles and boarding a plane to a country I had never been before. After arriving in Miami the illuminated sign at the terminal read: American Airlines, Barcelona, Spain. After two months of being on break, I was finally boarding my flight to start my new life abroad for a semester.

Upon arriving I was greeted at the airport by one of the staff members of the program through which I am studying and that's when it all began....

The first few days were extremely packed with exploring the city an taking tours. ISA set up many activities for us to do starting very early in the morning and getting us home just in time for dinner...at 9 p.m.
That's another thing.... people in Barcelona don't eat dinner until 9 p.m.Which is so hard to get used to considering I usually eat dinner at 5 p.m. and not a minute later in college.

February  2, 2013-
Today we took a bus for an hour and a half to the small midevil city of Girona. As we arrived we found ourselves wandering around the cobblestone town climbing steps and walking on the city wall. In the small corners of the city we found a quiet cafe where we stopped for cafe con leche and a bite to eat. At 2:30 we met back at the bus and headed to the Dali Theatre Museum in Figueres. This was a museum filled with paintings and art from the famous painter: Fundacio Dali. AMAZING is not a good enough word to explain it. His paintings were spectacular, but very twisted.
